The Irish team behind ‘Van Gogh Dublin RDS’ are using their same advanced tech capabilities, developed for the hit immersive art show, to launch this exceptionally unique yoga experience.  The multi-sensory, 360 degree immersive yoga classes will be led by Irish yoga superstar ‘Yoga with Maura’ from June 21st – July 30th

Van Gogh Dublin opened last month in the RDS to rave press reviews, with its ground-breaking and award-winning fusion of renowned art and cutting-edge technologies that took many a breath away (and still is). The space is now pushing its limits even further by bringing to life a 360 degree, completely immersive digital wellness studio, never before experienced in Ireland. The mesmerising space is set to host a limited number of bespoke and entirely immersive yoga sessions this summer. ‘Yogis’ can practice their downward facing dog surrounded by moving rainforests, cascading waterfalls, an alive starry night and so much more.

While similar immersive yoga experiences take place in other wellness capitals worldwide such as Melbourne and LA, the Irish debut is led by Maura Rath, one of Ireland’s leaders in mind and body health, as well as the founder of the pioneering ‘Yoga with Maura.’ Guests can expect to ignite the senses, escape life’s daily pressures and feel invigorated like never before, due to both Maura’s exceptional talents and the visual magnificence of this limited experience.

Maura has closely collaborated with Van Gogh Dublin RDS to curate an all-encompassing yoga experience that helps you reconnect with the body and inspire the mind. Speaking about the rare opportunity, Maura states: “The illuminating space will enable you to disconnect or escape from the sometimes frenetic pace of life. Each session explores chapters to awaken and nurture the senses, with my yoga instruction carefully planned to coordinate with the incredible surroundings of this unique experience. The most notable for avid yogis will be the chakra chapter, where you’re guided through each energy centre or ‘chakra’ complemented by exquisite colour-themed, ambient, awe-inspiring visuals all around you”.

These stunning visuals, combined with tranquil acoustics and expert guidance from Maura, will offer an uplifting, one of a kind mind and body recharge experience. The opening session will take place on June 21st to mark International Yoga Day and the Summer Solstice, the latter globally known for its transformative qualities. To honour both of these momentous occasions, the first session will pay tribute to the sun’s restorative energy and focus on finding the elusive balance we all seek.

Speaking about her innovative approach, Maura explains: “during this busy period of re-establishing our burgeoning social lives, this is the perfect opportunity for you to bring a friend and engage in an activity that energises and resets you, maybe even helps you find a new perspective. I’m absolutely delighted to be able to bring yogis on this journey with me.”

Daniel Gleeson, co-founder of Van Gogh Dublin added “having seen the success of these immersive yoga experiences in multiple cities around the world, we are tremendously excited to bring this immersive yoga experience in partnership with Maura, one of Ireland’s leading yoga experts, to Ireland for the first time. Our 360 sensory approach with magnificent, moving and evolving imagery, from tranquil rainforests to majestic mountain ranges, will make for a truly memorable experience. And believe me immersive yoga experiences like this in cities around the world are not normally at the same size and tech levels that we’re launching here in the RDS.”

Maura finished “no matter if you’re an advanced yoga expert or a yogi newbie, the breath-taking visuals we have ready for you, moving and surrounding you in 360 degrees in this 20,000 foot space, will make this a yoga experience you will remember forever”.

People of all fitness levels are encouraged and welcome. The first session ‘Summer Solstice’ takes place at 7:15pm on Tuesday June 21st. The full immersive yoga class schedule is outlined below, with a one-time run until July 30th. Each session is an hour long and will explore new themes and varied yoga practices. Please note spaces are limited. Tickets available now at vangoghdublin.ie/immersiveyoga from €24.66.
