Line-up confirmed: Zoe Wees, Rea Garvey, Die Fantastischen Vier & Bosse play live at VW Bus Festival

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWCV) is bringing the stars onto the stage for VW Bus fans: Die Fantastischen Vier, Rea Garvey, Zoe Wees and Bosse will perform their hits live at the VW Bus Festival. The festival opens with Aki Bosse and his band on Friday evening. On Saturday, visitors will start the long concert evening with Zoe Wees. Rea Garvey will then rock the stage before the German Hip-Hop Group “Die Fantastischen Vier” appear as the headlining act.
“You can’t celebrate a festival without live music and entertainment,” says Stefan Pfeiffer, Head of Marketing at VWN! This also applies to the VW Bus Festival from June 23 to 25, 2023 at the Hanover Exhibition Center. Pfeiffer continues: “We offer visitors a top program on all three days. All Bulli exhibitions, concerts, the children’s program and public transport tickets are included.” Day tickets are available from the online shop at www.vw-bus-festival-2023.de from ten euros.
Friday – Bosse
Concerts are his lifeblood! On Friday evening, the German songwriter Bosse will take VW Bus fans along on his musical journey. His songs include his gold-record single “Der letzte Tanz” and the summer hit “Schönste Zeit”. With his albums “Engtanz” (2015) and “Alles Ist Jetzt” (2018), he jumped straight to the top of the German album charts. His earlier albums “Wartesaal”, “Kraniche” and the hit single “Schönste Zeit” all went gold.
The enthusiastic camper van fan shows what travelling in a VW bus looks like in the official video of his song “Der Sommer”. In a dark-blue T3 camper, he travels through the land, meets people and camps in the open countryside.
Saturday – Zoe Wees, Rea Garvey and Die Fantastischen Vier
Saturday evening starts with one of Germany’s most popular singers at the moment: Zoe Wees. Since her musical breakthrough in 2020, the “German Wunderkind” has touched people with her songs in a unique way. Her debut single “Control” has achieved gold and platinum status in ten countries to date and has also made her famous in the USA. Last year, Zoe Wees went on her first live tour in Europe and delighted her fans. Of course, she will also be performing her hits “Girls like us” and “Hold me like you used to” at the VW Bus Festival.
Next up, Irish singer Rea Garvey will rock the stage. With the song “Supergirl”, he stormed the worldwide charts with his band Reamonn in the early 2000s. As a solo artist, he has released four albums and is now an indispensable part of the German TV landscape. He has already appeared as a coach in the casting show “The Voice of Germany” on ProSieben seven times and has been a guest in other TV formats (e.g. “LOL – Last One Laughing”, Amazon Video).
The grand finale and headlining act at the VW Bus Festival will be Die Fantastischen Vier on Saturday evening. The hip-hop band will take their fans on a live musical journey through 33 years of band history. They have been thrilling audiences with its live performances for many years, with more than 250,000 people attending the “Forever 30 Years Live Tour” alone. And last autumn, Die Fantastischen Vier released their greatest hits on the album “The Liechtenstein Tapes”.
Sunday – Family Day with Luca Haenni and DIKKA
Sunday at the VW Bus Festival offers a fun-packed programme for the whole family. And here too, live music is an essential part. In the morning, DIKKA will present fresh hip-hop beats to visitors of all ages.
Luca Haenni, winner of the casting show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (RTL) and “The Masked Singer” (ProSieben), will then thrill the fans. His debut single “Don’t think about me” shot directly to the top of the single charts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
3-day festival programme for the VW bus
The VW Bus is an icon. And VWCV is celebrating this together with tens of thousands of fans at the Hannover Fairground. The 6,000 camping tickets have sold out, already making the VW Bus Festival the largest of its kind.
In addition to top live music, fans can look forward to a unique vehicle exhibition with VW Buses that have never been shown together before. They include the oldest registered VW Transporter (built in 1950) and also the ID. Buzz with long wheelbase, which is celebrating its world premiere in the USA shortly before the festival. The all-electric 6- or 7-seater will make its European debut at the festival.
The Bulli Kids Club is open all weekend, with many things to do for every age group, such as soccer parcourse with the Hanover 96 soccer school. In many hands-on activities, it will be possible to learn how to make barista-style coffee or create beautiful flower wreaths in a VW Bus. And those who need a short break can either go for a spin on the big wheel or relax with delicious food and drinks at one of the numerous food buses.
