NEC show debut for Summit Campervans, exclusive to Lowdhams, built by Wellhouse Leisure

Summit Campervans, built by Wellhouse Leisure exclusively for Lowdhams, one of the UK’s longest-running and largest caravan and motorhome retailers, will make their debut on the Lowdhams stand in Hall 8 at the Motorhome and Caravan Show, NEC (16 to 21 October).
Based on the Ford Transit Custom, with a 130PS, 2.0-litre EcoBlue, Euro 6 engine, the Summit has the classic campervan layout with folding rear seat and side kitchen and wardrobe unit, and will be available for £47,995 (including on the road charges) at both Lowdhams locations at Nottingham and Huddersfield.
The Summit’s key features include a high quality, German-made elevating roof, distinctive interior furniture available in a choice of colours from Tecnoform in Italy, plus a crash-tested rear seat with three seatbelts which conveniently slides back and forth to create more living or storage space, as required.
A highly competitive specification ensures comfortable, luxury camping with all the comforts of home wherever you are. It includes: a 100w solar panel, Eberspecher blown-air heating, 42-litre Dometic compressor fridge, SMEV glass-topped cooker and sink unit, 100 Ah leisure battery, LED lighting, lined curtains and thermal cab screens, and 12v/240v/USB sockets.
The latest Ford Transit Custom cab is designed to be comfortable and convenient to drive for any length of road trip, at any time of year. At 4.97m long and with a maximum weight (MTPLM) of 3,200kg, it is easy to use every day and fit in a standard parking space. It can also tow a trailer up to 2,100kg, and at 2.08m high (with roof closed), it will fit under most height barriers.
Its standard equipment includes: air conditioning, heated windscreen, heated (swivelling) front seats, heated/electric folding door mirrors, DAB and multifunction display with Ford Sync and emergency assist, rain sensing wipers, cruise control, adjustable steering wheel and Hill Start Assist; while on the outside, it has front fog lights, 16in alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, tailgate wash/wipe and metallic paint as standard.
An optional SE pack offers some tempting upgrades, including a SMEV mini grill, colour-coded bumpers and awning, a reversing camera and half-leather seats. Orders taken during the Motorhome and Caravan show will be offered free Ford satellite navigation (worth £900) and the SE pack for only £1,995 (usual price £3,000).
Customers also have the choice to add some extras to the standard Summit Campervan, if they wish. This includes: engine upgrade to 170PS (£1,750), automatic gearbox (£1,440), sat nav (£900), roof bed (£450), 18in alloy wheels (£1,395), rear spoiler (£150), and a winter pack (insulated & heated tanks) (£250).
