Savills, on behalf of a private client, has sold Higher Golla Touring Park in Truro, Cornwall to a local operator. The site was marketed confidentially with a guide price of offers in excess of £1.5 million.

Set across circa 22 acres (5.2 hectares), the park comprises a total of 53 touring caravan pitches with associated toilet, shower and laundry facilities, alongside a further two static holiday caravans which are both included in the sale. In addition, the property includes a four bedroom owner’s bungalow with its own private gardens.

Robert Gale-Hasleham, director in the leisure and trade related team at Savills Exeter, comments: “Situated in a picturesque rural setting midway between Perranporth and St Agnes, the park provides holidaymakers with a great base from which to tour Cornwall. Higher Golla provided the purchaser with an excellent opportunity to acquire a well-established business that has come to the market for the first time in over 50 years. Prior to this, we were able to obtain planning permission to redevelop the site for static holiday caravans and this impacted greatly on the final price for our client.”
