Win A Great Lakes USA Cookbook at Holiday World

Great Lakes USA is exhibiting at Holiday World, Dublin 24-26 January 2020 at RDS on stand J7. The region consists of some of the most exciting states in the USA including Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio, Indiana and Wisconsin.
There’s some fabulous food to be found here from spam burgers in Minnesota to the home of tomato juice in Indiana and on the stand there will be the chance to win a cookbook from the area, as well as Great Lakes USA aprons and wooden spoons.
There’s a lot that’s great about the Great Lakes region: great scenery, great beaches, great activities and some really great cities. It’s a big area with the largest expanse of freshwater in the world making for a unique and diverse landscape and with the new direct Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Minneapolis Saint-Paul (launched July 2019) it’s easy to get to.
Lakeside you’ll find stretches of sandy beach, lighthouses perched on craggy coves, rolling dunes and a swathe of offshore islands. The landscape is just as full of surprises away from the water too, with cow-speckled farmland in Wisconsin; Amish communities dotting the horizon in Ohio; and moose wandering the dense forest of Minnesota’s Upper Peninsula.
If the city is more your scene, then there’s some top places you can get your urban fix. Chicago has a stand-out skyline of modern skyscrapers, and is the place to head for amazing architecture, superb art, first-class shopping and a buzzing night scene. Milwaukee has a long brewing tradition and is perfect for beer fans but also comes complete with interesting museums and sandy beaches. And Detroit’s famous love affair with the motor car and Motown music speak for themselves. Cleveland is home to the world class experiences including the famous Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and a great dining scene and Indianapolis is well known for the Indy 500 race and its love of sport. Bloomington in Minnesota has the largest indoor shopping and entertainment centre, Mall of America with over 520 stores and tax free shopping on clothes and shoes. Minnesota is also the birthplace of Bob Dylan and you can tour Paisley Park, Prince’s home and recording studio.
