CARAVAN SALON 2015: Great Special Initiatives

Visitors to the CARAVAN SALON from 29 August to 6 September 2015 can look forward to various initiatives and specials. This year’s new motto at the world’s largest meeting point for the international caravanning sector reads: “Your New Window to the World”.
Fans of mobile leisure can all expect even greater choice and variety as the range has grown yet again over the previous year. 590 international exhibitors will be presenting caravans, motor homes and basis vehicles from 130 brands – a total of over 2,000 leisure vehicles will be on display. Furthermore, the fair will offer a comprehensive market overview of accessories, detachable parts, tents, mobile homes and travel destinations. The CARAVAN SALON will extend over some 195,000 square metres, spread over eleven halls and the outdoor space. “Camping as a form vacationing is continuing to enjoy great popularity and exhibitors this year will also be showcasing all sorts of highlights and many world innovations,” says Director Stefan Koschke.
New Hall Structure
Further growth at the CARAVAN SALON has led to a new hall structure. The van vehicle category has already been posting huge growth for several years now. These compact vehicles are extremely popular with both families and couples of all ages because they can also be used in everyday life. To cater to exhibitors’ increased space requirements vans will now be found in Hall 15 – and partially also in Hall 12, as was the case in the past. As before, Hall 13 will be home to industrial suppliers and Halls 9 to 12 plus 14, 16 and 17 will feature caravans and motor homes.
The accessories segment with themes like tents, folding and tent caravans, camping equipment, outdoor products and recreational items will move into Hall 5 while the tourism segment with camping and motor home pitches as well as travel destinations will be found in Hall 7 right at Entrance North.
StarterWorld Special Show
Anyone wishing to find out more about driving a motor home or caravan trailer as well as technical functioning has come to exactly right place at this year’s CARAVAN SALON. Sector professionals in the “StarterWorld – Mobile Travel – Discover. Inform. Drive –” in Hall 12 provide a neutral and non-manufacturer-biased contact point focusing on the caravanning theme. In various themed worlds newcomers as well as experienced caravanning enthusiasts can discover interesting and useful facts about mobile vacationing. For instance, experts here will demonstrate the correct handling of on-board technology, give practical tips and recommendations on vehicle types, travel routes or the right choice of campsite and will be available to answer specific questions and give individual help and advice.
Online Ticket valid for Two Days
This year the online ticket is also very visitor-friendly. Tickets purchased online entitle named holders to two days’ entry into the exhibition centre. This means visitors to the CARAVAN SALON can submerge themselves in the world of caravanning for longer and only need to pay once – an option only valid for eTickets.
New: Caravan Center with Booking System
The Caravan Center with its pitches at trade fair car park P1 is popular with all caravanning fans who wish to spend the night in their own motor home or caravan when visiting the CARAVAN SALON DÜSSELDORF. For the first time, this year visitors can pre-book a pitch online and thereby plan their trip to Düsseldorf even better. A total of 3,500 serviced and non-serviced pitches are available at the Caravan Center.
Dream Tour Cinema
At the Dream Tour Cinema on the outdoor space (pavilion between Halls 16 and 10) spectators can once again this year experience exciting caravan destinations. Konstantin Abert, Jeanette Emerich and Uwe Hamm whisk visitors away to Canada & Alaska, the Baltic and St. Petersburg, France, Oman as well as the West of the USA. Also awaiting visitors is a Best of by Kostya Abert spanning 30 years of motor home experiences on all five continents. The multivision shows run daily from 11 am to 4 pm at one-hour intervals.
