Organisers of the Motorhome and Caravan Show have confirmed the attendance of TV presenter Helen Skelton at the show on Wednesday 16 October. Best known for presenting Countryfile and numerous high-profile sporting events including coverage of the Rio Olympics, the TV favourite who is known for her adventurous streak is set to entertain audiences with tales of her colourful career and incredible adventures.

Taking place from 15–20 October 2019 at the NEC, Birmingham, the Motorhome and Caravan Show promises a great day out for the whole family. The show boasts the UK’s largest display of motorhomes, caravans, campervans, trailer tents, caravan holiday homes and lodges and accessories all under one roof.

A host of attractions will be available to visitors across the six days including appearances in the LIVE Theatre from a packed line-up of famous faces who will share their passion for the great outdoors, stories and top tips. In addition, a number of well-known chefs will inspire audiences with live cookery demonstrations.

Over the past decade Helen Skelton has become one of Britain’s best-loved TV presenters. Starting her career on long-running children’s show Blue Peter in 2008, Helen has gone on to present Countryfile, The Instant Gardener, Holiday Hit Squad and Lorraine and has notably covered some of the memorable sporting events of the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympics as part of the BBC’s sports team.

Alongside her presenting day job, Helen is an avid adventurer who has undertaken countless challenges including kayaking 2,010 miles down the Amazon in support of Sport Relief where she broke two Guinness World Records; the longest solo journey by kayak, and the longest kayak by a woman in 24 hours. Other achievements include becoming the second woman ever to complete the Namibia Ultra-Marathon and the first person to reach the South Pole using a bicycle.

Set over 11 halls, the Motorhome and Caravan Show will welcome around 100,000 visitors across six days. With the largest display of leisure vehicles and accessories all under one roof, the show is a must-visit for those looking to get into a leisure vehicle lifestyle and seasoned caravanners alike, offering endless inspiration and exclusive offers that won’t be found anywhere else. Visitors will get a first look at new-for-2020 product launches and the latest gadgets and innovations. They will also benefit from expert advice and top tips, free towing, motorhome manoeuvring and campervan test drives, exclusive show offers and details of the latest holiday sites and destination trends.
