In a surprise move, the promoters behind Westport Festival of Music & Food has announced that the festival will return in 2015, however it will relocate to the town of Killarney, County Kerry.

After three fantastic years in Westport, the promoters have made the difficult decision to move the popular boutique festival. The family friendly festival will take place on the weekend of 27 & 28 June however it will be rebranded as the Killarney Festival of Music & Food. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, 12th December at 9am from ticketmaster outlets nationwide.

The Killarney Festival of Music & Food 2015 promises to be a fun filled entertainment weekend to remember with international and Irish acts performing across seven stages. Music acts, comedians, chefs, and children’s activities will be announced over the coming months.

20,000 music fans attended the two-day music & food extravaganza this year and festival goers enjoyed a weekend of first class entertainment with an eclectic mix of music from over 70 international and Irish artists including Bryan Adams, David Gray, Sinead O’Connor, Kool & The Gang, Shane Filan, 2Cellos, Bellx1 and The Divine Comedy.

Mouth-watering gourmet culinary demonstrations by some of Ireland’s top chefs Derry Clarke (L’Ecrivain), Rachel Allen (Ballymaloe), Neven Maguire (MacNean House), Ross Lewis (Chapter One) Clodagh McKenna (Clodagh’s Kitchen), Darina Allen (Ballymaloe) hosted by Norah Casey were hugely popular with foodie and festival goers.

Broadcaster and Publisher, Norah Casey said : “The combination of great food and a strong mix of musical talents makes this boutique festival different. The heart of the festival was a vibrant artistic line-up but an eclectic mix of chefs, from the Michelin star supremoes to the skilled country house cooks created a vibrant mix of gastronomy and music.”

Tickets will go on sale on Friday, 12th December at 9am from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide, Tel: 0818 719300 / www.ticketmaster.ie. Adult Day tickets cost €76 and weekend tickets cost €142. Teen concessions are available and under 12’s go free.
