TRANSPORT

WESTPORT IS A VERY BUSY TOWN AND TRAFFIC IS HEAVY ON A QUIET DAY SO PLEASE USE CAR PARKS PROVIDED AND WHERE POSSIBLE USE PUBLIC TRANSPORT. PLAN YOUR ROUTE IN ADVANCE AND CHECK THE AA ROADWATCH WEBSITE FOR REPORTS ON TRAFFIC, ROAD WORKS & DELAYS.

LOOK FOR THE FESTIVAL SIGNAGE DIRECTING YOU TO CAR PARKS & CAMPERS ENTRANCE (YELLOW ROUTE).

Please note parking in Westport Town outside of Festival Carparks is ‘Pay & Display’ in car parks & one hour only on streets and Gardai will tow illegally parked vehicles. Patrons are asked to respect the local residents.

FROM DUBLIN: Driving from Dublin, take the N4/N5 signposted for Galway, Sligo, Westport. The Rice College car park is on this route.
FROM GALWAY : Driving from Galway, take the Ballinrobe Rd  N84 to Partry  (left at the Thatch pub) and then continue on N84 to Westport.  Please avoid Castlebar as this route will be the busiest. The Westpoint Shopping Centre car park is on this route
ON SITE PARKING & CAMPING: is situated within the grounds of  Westport House, off the Golf Links Road  – please follow ‘Yellow Route’ signs for campsite & camping parking and on-site parking (€10 per day)
PEDESTRIAN ENTRANCE: is at Church Lane off the junction of Quay Street/Peter Street – The Box Office & Ticket Collection is situated here

THERE IS LIMITED PARKING IN WESTPORT TOWN

PLEASE AVAIL OF THE FESTIVAL CARPARKS – ON SITE PARKING (€10) OR FREE PARKING AT RICE COLLEGE & WESTPOINT SHOPPING CENTRE

SHUTTLE BUSES
Buses will depart Church St, Castlebar & Golflinks Road Westport Festival every 15 minutes between 10am & 4am
Gillespie Coaches (085 764 6523 )  gillespietaxi@yahoo.ie  will be running shuttles as follows:
Enniscrone > Ballina > Foxford > Westport
Crossmolina > Lahardine > Newport > Westport
Belmullet > Bangor > Westport

YOUR SAFETY
This is an outdoor event and will take place rain or shine. Please remember to plan for adverse weather conditions.  Always check the weather before setting off.
Please have your ticket ready for inspection at entrance points
No Alcohol, No Glass or Cans permitted, nor Food nor Drink. Umbrellas, small garden furniture and seats are permitted.
Please obey the Stewards, the Gardai and any safety instructions given over the public address system.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The gates will open at 12.30pm and music will start at 12.30pm. Childrens’ activities will run until 7pm approx.   The event will close at 11.30pm. Please check www.westportfestival.com & our Facebook page for most up to date timings.
You may leave the venue after entry, but please ensure you have both your wristband & re-entry pass on for re-entry.  Any tampered or faulty wristbands will be refused entry.
Up to two children under 13 are allowed for free with a parent/guardian ticket holder
There is a concessionary ticket available for teenagers aged 13-17 years old however they must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.
There are no ATMs on site however there are bank machines located close by in Westport Town.

Special Needs Parking is available via the Golf Course Entrance on Golf Links Rd.  For further information regarding this and more, please contact hello@westportfestival.com
