Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWCV) is expecting more than 6,000 VW Buses at the VW Bus Festival 2023 in Hanover, with around 13,000 people camping at the site between 23 and 25 June 2023. This means that the tickets for the campsites around the festival grounds are now sold out. A further 50,000 day visitors are expected over the course of the weekend. Day passes are available in the official online shop at www.vw-bus-festival-2023.de from 10 euros per day for adults, and 5 euros for children and young people.
Preparations for the VW Bus Festival are in full swing. The brand is planning exceptional vehicle exhibitions, with around 130 classic cars and current VWCV vehicles set to be on show. Special VW Buses and their owners will be honoured on the approximately 1,000-square-metre stage. VW Bus drivers who have registered for the festival can apply on the official festival homepage to take part in the Show & Shine contests, as well as the convoy on Friday afternoon from the VWCV factory to the festival site.

A number of international music acts will provide a true festival atmosphere over the course of the three days. There will also be several pavilions presenting the history of the VW Bus: from the legendary “Plattenwagen” built by VW employees to transport materials around the Wolfsburg plant, through all generations of the VW Bus, to the autonomous ID. Buzz, which gives a look ahead to the future of mobility in urban areas.

The brand’s most important customer event

“The VW Bus Festival is the most important customer event of the year for us,” says Lars Krause, Member of the Brand Board of Management for Sales and Marketing at VWCV. With more than 6,000 VW Buses, the festival will be the largest of its kind. “The camping tickets are already sold out two months before the festival. That’s absolutely amazing!” The VW Bus has a unique place in automotive history. “No other vehicle has such a large fan base reaching across all vehicle generations. We aren’t resting on our laurels though. Our current models, the T6.1, the Multivan and the all-electric ID. Buzz, all have the potential to become automotive classics. After all, they’re truly VW Buses,” Krause says.

The online shop for day passes remains open, and there’s still time to get tickets at the discounted Early Bird price.
