Airstream enjoying the upturn

An incredibly busy couple of years have led to quite a few changes at AIRSTREAM & Company since the last e-newsletter. In order to give us more time to concentrate on our increasingly busy sales and service departments, the production and distribution of trailers is moving to America and Germany – and we’re really rather excited about it.
As sales director Michael Hold explains: “This is fantastic news for the British market as it means that here in the UK we will have the space, time and freedom to concentrate on further increasing sales and offering a better service and repairs facility for owners. We recently took on two new members of staff in the form of David Hughes and Pete Bull and they’ve both become great additions to the team already.”
While European Airstreams will now be hand-built by our American colleagues, distribution of the range is moving to mainland Europe, where it will be handled by German dealer Roka Werk.
Technical director Anthony Slocock, who has been promoted to cover the European region, says: “We know the product and the market much better today, than when we started. The Airstream brand has never been stronger globally and the potential for growth in Europe is very exciting. We are already represented in the UK, Germany and Italy and it will be the job of Armin Heun and his team at Roka Werk to expand that network. Earlier this month they began that process by launching the first dealership in Norway and it’s already proving a great success.”
