International real estate advisor Savills, on behalf of Haulfryn Group, has completed the sale of Beckenham Mobile Park Home (“Beckenham Park”) in Rainham, Kent, to Wyldcrest Parks Limited.

Located on the North Kent Coast, Beckenham Park occupies an attractive setting with views over Otterham Creek towards the Medway Estuary on a site extending to approximately 6.33 acres (2.56 hectares).  The property comprises 35 single units and 39 twin units, with further development potential subject to planning permission.

Beckenham Park was offered to the market by the Savills Leisure & Trade team on a confidential basis in July 2020, with a number of active buyers being approached directly with details of the opportunity.  Following strong interest and competitive bidding, the sale was concluded in December for an undisclosed value.

Ian Simpson says: “The mobile park home sector continues to perform resiliently amid wider leisure disruption and is a sector that is regarded as being reasonably recession proof. Beckenham Park generated a good level of interest from a number of investors including existing operators and new investors looking to enter the market. There remains strong appetite from investors in this sector, where sales are often handled on a confidential basis and Savills Leisure has an extensive database of purchasers who are actively looking to make acquisitions in the sector.”

Matt Britton, Chief Financial Officer at Haulfryn Group Ltd. Said: “The decision to put our Beckenham residential park up for sale was certainly not one taken lightly. We would like to thank all the residents for the time they have spent with us on park and we hope that we have made it a safe and happy place for them to live. We wish them, and new owners Wyldecrest, all the best for the future.”

Alfie Best, Chairman at Wyldecrest Parks, adds: “Wyldecrest Parks are the market leaders in the Park-Home industry and the biggest park home operator in the UK. We are the first company in the sector to be ISO 9001 certified and are committed to providing retired and semi-retired people with affordable and attractive homes on residential parks, where they can live comfortably in a tranquil and secure environment.”

“We would like to take this opportunity to welcome the residents of Beckenham Park into the Wyldecrest family.”
