Elddis has the largest choice of caravan layouts of any touring caravan manufacturer, including a huge selection of lightweight, modern caravans to suit families of all sizes and children of all ages.

Our design team are avid caravanners themselves, many with young or growing families, and understand all too well the practicalities we demand of our caravans.

Our ethos is therefore to create caravans that not only look fantastic, but are robustly built to withstand the rigours of family life and boisterous kids. Our caravans are some of the lightest, but are built to last. And even with our very lightest caravans there has been no compromise on specification – every one of our touring caravans boasts class-leading specification and craftsman-built hardwood cabinetry, with nothing stripped out.

More and more families are choosing caravanning as an exciting and adventurous way to enjoy affordable holidays and mini-breaks all year round. We see many families choosing Elddis for their first new caravan as they offer so much at a very affordable price.

But with so many models to choose from, where do you start? Here’s our pick of some of our bestsellers – and some Customer feedback from first-time and experienced caravanners!

The all-new Elddis Xplore 304

This is one of the most ingenious caravans ever built. Whilst its diminutive size means it’s super light and a doddle to tow, it is surprisingly tardis-like inside. Launched two years ago, further improvements have been made this season and the 304 remains a best-seller.

This layout is exclusive to Elddis and is the lightest caravan of its kind. It appeals to both couple and small families – and as it’s small enough to store on your driveway, it lends itself to spontaneous mini breaks and weekend getaways.

The light, breezy interior and abundance of storage space has been made possible with some nifty design solutions and engineering – including the new Whale underfloor heating system.

Customer feedback:

Hywel Williams “We purchased our Xplore 304 in July 2011 and are very pleased overall. Perfect for caravanning with our three year old son. Build quality is sound. The clever 304 layout does a great job of making the best use of available space, based around the L-shaped lounge which works well. It represents an excellent compromise between sacrificing some space for towability, since we intend to use it for many long weekends throughout the year and did not want a big caravan which might be a burden to tow and manoeuvre. “

Angie Pryor “Love this van. Perfect for our family needs. Well thought-out layout. Comfortable sleeping and easy to set up. Good service from our Elddis dealer. Very pleased indeed. “

Helen Weir and George Cunningham “We have just returned from our first outing with our new Xplore 304. We are thoroughly happy with everything about the caravan. Having always been campers before, the transition to this caravan was easy. We had searched for 12 months to find a caravan which we could tow behind our Peugout 207 SW. This certainly fits the bill. The summer holidays with the Grandchildren will be great this year. We had visitors for dinner (and a nose around) and seated 6 in the van with no problems. There will be plenty of room for 3 of us on short breaks, even without the awning. The heating was very efficient and not noisy for night time. All in all I’d like to say ‘well done, Elddis’ you have fulfilled all our dreams with the Xplore 304! “

An all-time best-seller – the Elddis Avante 540

This caravan ticks all the boxes for so many of our Customers – a fixed bed caravan, sizeable airy dinette and a luxurious end bathroom – all in a one-of-a-kind contemporary design. The fresh modern styling, combined with class-leading craftsmanship of the Avante sets it apart from its competitors and appeals to young families, experienced caravannners and ralliers, too.

Customer feedback:

Clive and Pauline Willis-Dixon “Well, having previously owned an 1994 Elddis Crusader Storm we were a little worried about the lack of space with a fixed bed but after using the Avante 540 now twice, with another long weekend coming up, we have to say we’re very impressed! Quality was a major factor when we were looking around, as some other makes seemed a little less well put together and with cheaper looking fittings. I was also a little dubious about going back to a single axle after owning a twin, but again I must say it tows very well considering it is only a few inches shorter than ours previous twin axle. Overall we are very happy with the van and very happy with our Dealer. Thank you.”

The Elddis Avante 646 – the ultimate caravan for a growing family

The Avante 646 is an original Elddis design, so successful it has now been copied by other caravan manufacturers. A twin axle caravan, this is the largest of the 10 touring caravans in the Avante range but is still remarkably light. This is a 6-berth model, offering sleeping arrangements for a growing family or older children. There is a triple bunk system at the rear and the bottom bunk lifts and locks to store bikes, buggies and bulky items.

The side dinette can accommodate four at mealtimes, or makes for a great separate dining or play area for younger children. At night-time this makes up into a domestic size single bed, ideal for a teenager or holiday guest. The front dinette provides a huge space for family mealtimes and relaxing together, making up into a very large and comfortable double bed.

The kitchen in the Avante 646 is enormous and boasts all the kit you need for a home-from-home holiday, including a 175L fridge freezer, microwave, oven and hob and impressive storage space.

Customer feedback:

Warren & Lisa “Fantastic van we love the layout and it is so practical with 2 kids and 3 dogs. We love to get away as often as possible. Previously we found our old layout was quite tight due to having the kitchen and the bathroom across the centre of the van. We love the space we have in the 646, with the centre dinette – and the fixed bunks mean the kids beds can be left made up. Overall, fantastic layout and a pleasure to use. We’d definitely recommend the Avante 646!”

David and Sarah Sherwood “Straight from dealer to site – all nerves disappeared, total dream to tow. Our three kids loved the bunks and the double was made up in a breeze. The fridge can hold more than enough beer and wine! Amazing amount of storage and the double dinette is fantastic, even got the high chair alongside and still managed to walk by!”

Mr & Mrs Craven “This layout is so flexible ! We have 4 children and a widowed Grandad, It slept 7 of us with ease. Triple bunks the kids love, all with own lights. Large fridge/freezer for all of us. Insulation is fantastic, It was -5 outside and easily reached 26+ inside. Always had 6 berth Adrias in the past, But this won us over with the 2 x double beds. Or 2 x very large 7ft singles up front. First ever twin axle too, which seems to stick to the road like railway tracks. Only downside we found was the wasted microwave oven as we find we don’t use ours at home, never mind on holiday. Apart from that, well worth the money. Would not have normally bought new, but this had the ‘wow’,’gosh’ and flexible factor. After owning 3 Adrias, never thought we would have left Adria ! Brilliant – well done, Elddis.”

Martin Deaker “We had a Bailey Pageant Provence and were completely happy until we saw the Elddis Avante 646. With 2 young children the fixed bunks are perfect for when they bring a friend. The layout is great with a proper fridge freezer and loads of space to eat without setting up the front table. A great design and great value for money!”
