UK outdoor retailer, Yeomans Outdoor Leisure, have launched a brand new tent pitching and advice DVD. This is the first of its kind from an outdoor leisure retailer, other tent pitching DVD’s have come from manufacturers and therefore tend to be brand specific. The production was produced by an in-house team who used their experience in the industry to look at the issues that face their customers and gave them straight forward advice and visual guidance.

Yeomans Outdoor Leisure is a well respected national retailer that offers branded apparel and equipment, including a comprehensive range of family tents and specialist lightweight tents. Also, as the current world tent erecting champions, the Yeomans team know a thing or two about how to best pitch and care for tents and it’s this knowledge that they are imparting to their customers in a format which is easy to understand and clearly explained by experienced ‘tent’ people.

Drew Milner, who was project manager for the DVD commented, “The DVD is a response to some of the problems our customers have experienced in the past. Camping is all about having fun and if we can make tent pitching easier and quicker for our customers it’s got to help”.

Demonstrations utilise different types of tent so even if you don’t have the specific model shown much of the advice will still be relevant. The DVD will be available FREE in all Yeomans stores with selected featured tents over £500; it can also be purchased on its own for a nominal fee of £4.99.

Running parallel to the DVD production, Yeomans offered the public a unique opportunity to create a cover to feature on the tent pitching and advice DVD, the competition was run online and aimed specifically at Yeomans customers. In addition to having their artwork feature on the DVD the winner also received £50 in gift vouchers. Look out at www.yeomansoutdoors.co.uk for future competitions and great special offers.
If you are interested in obtaining a copy of the tent pitching and advice DVD simply ask at your local Yeomans store where you will also find a comprehensive range of outdoor furniture and accessories with friendly Yeomans staff on hand to help you find the perfect tent, outdoor equipment or clothing to suit your requirements and offer advice on a wide range of camping issues.
