Bailey Caravans have been developed using over sixty years experience in caravan design and are manufactured in a state-of-the-art production facility to provide the very best in touring home quality and value.

Firmly established as the UK’s favourite touring caravan brand Bailey is now looking to expand into more overseas markets. The company already has an established presence in New Zealand and is now setting its sights on the larger Australian caravan market which is a similar size to that of the UK and one which is growing rapidly on the strength of a buoyant economy.

For the first time therefore Bailey will be introducing a selection of models from its award-winning Orion, Pegasus and Unicorn ranges into Australia. Models have been tailored to suit the specific requirements of the market and as such will include items such as large on-board water tanks, air conditioning units and pull out sun canopies in the standard specification. As in the UK the caravans are fitted with the latest AL-KO galvanised steel chassis, stabiliser hitches, shock absorbers and the new AL-KO ATC trailer control system (range specific).

All models are built using the high performance Alu-Tech bodyshell construction system. Seen by many as the most significant caravan production design for over 30 years this award-winning technology provides vehicles which are both more durable and more weatherproof and yet at the same time lighter to make them accessible to a wide range of tow vehicles. The superior thermal properties of the shell will also allow you to holiday all year round by keeping you warm in the winter and cool in the summer as well as making the caravan more economical to own.

Bailey Australia’s head office is located in Melbourne and the new team there is currently in the process of setting up an Australia-wide Dealer Network who will provide customers with a comprehensive sales and after-sales support service. Dealers have already appointed in Victoria and New South Wales, with dealers in Queensland and Western Australia to be announced shortly. Bailey caravans will also be on display at the key State and regional shows across the country during 2012.

Bailey (UK) Managing Director, Nick Howard, commented “We are very excited about the opportunities available in the rapidly growing Australian Caravan Market. We feel that our Alu-Tech ranges are ideally suited to the particular needs of the Australian caravanner and that we can offer them something completely different to what is currently available”.
