BAILEY OF BRISTOL CHAMPIONS THE CAUSE OF THE CUSTOMER
…….WITH A PRICE FREEZE ACROSS ALL PRODUCT RANGES FOR THE START OF THE 2013 MODEL YEAR
Bailey of Bristol has championed the cause of the customer with a price freeze across all product ranges for the start of the 2013 model year. As a result the recommended retail prices for every one of its touring caravan, motorhome and leisure home models will remain unchanged from current levels (as at 20th February 2012 price list) going into the 2013 model year.
This decision is out-of-step with other UK leisure vehicle manufacturers who have recently implemented price increases on some or all of their new model ranges, meaning Bailey products now look even better value in the current market place.
Touring Caravans
The existing Orion, Olympus and Pegasus enter the new season virtually unchanged and consequently it is perhaps to be expected that the prices of these proven products remain the same. More surprising however is that Bailey has accomplished the same feat with the new Unicorn range which includes models that have benefitted from a host of design enhancements and numerous specification upgrades.
Motorhomes
The arrival of the Bailey Approach SE range quite literally heralded a ‘new approach’ to value in the motorhome market. The combination of a well-specified Peugeot cab, a high-performance Alu-Tech bodyshell, beautifully styled British interiors and a specification level not normally found on vehicles in its price bracket makes the new Approach SE the complete motorhome range. This value-laden package has proved universally popular with both new and existing motorhome owners as well as being strong enough to win The Caravan Club Motorcaravan Design & Drive Competition 2012 – where Approach SE 745 was named as the Overall Winner.
In maintaining current On The Road prices Bailey continues to offer potential customers market leading value for money. However this level of pricing cannot be sustained indefinitely and with a review of the supply cost of the Peugeot cab due to take place shortly, Bailey advises that anybody considering a motorhome purchase to contact their local Retailer sooner rather than later.
Leisure Homes
As with the motorhomes the new Retreat Leisure Homes were also launched with a competitive retail price. Developed to cater for the growing number of people who do not tour with their caravan but prefer to site it in one place throughout the year, design emphasis for the Retreat has been given to the unique features required for extended use in a single location.
Assisted by the preferential VAT rates applied to caravans of this size Bailey has been able to produce this type of vehicle for the same price as a twin axle tourer. However this is expected to change in April 2013 when a new VAT rate of 5% will be implemented on Retreats in line with those also being made on static caravans.
The scheduling of this means there is still time for customers to order a Retreat prior to the implementation of this enforced price increase and have it sited on a pitch of their choice before Easter next year, but again potential customers should be starting the buying process now to beat the deadline.
