Billing Aquadrome near Northampton

Big site with variety of touring and residential pitches. Flooding in 2007 prompted joint approach between Environment Agency Northamptonshire County Council Emergency Planning now has a flood evacuation plan in place.

Yarwell Mill near Peterborough

Situated in a flood risk area, following approach by and advice from the Environment Agency, the site management have erected a notice board with the new flood warning codes on. They also have 2-3 flood wardens on site to ensure site safety.

Riverside Caravan Park Plymouth Devon

In partnership with Plymouth City Council the Environment Agency contacted the site owner and worked with him to produce a flood plan for the site. We also encouraged him to take practical measures such as sign installation.

Par Sands Holiday Park Cornwall

The Environment Agency worked with Par Sands Holiday Park where site was at risk from fluvial and tidal flooding. Worked with  the site owner, and the local authority, to produce a flood plan.

Valley Caravan Park Polzeath Cornwall

Flooded May bank holiday 2008. The site owners had a flood evacuation plan but did not make holidaymakers aware of it, as they did not expect to use it outside of the winter months. Since then Environment Agency has worked with site to improve their flood plan and suggested practical measures they can take.

Selsey

Selsey has a number of caravan and leisure park sites, operated by Bunn Leisure. These, along with this section of the south east coast are prone to flooding. Chichester District Council developed a comprehensive Multi-Agency Flood Plan in 2008, revised  in January 2012. This contains a specific Bunn Leisure Sea Flood Crisis Management Plan to cover the caravan  and leisure park sites at risk.
