Catwalk of Cool Caravans
The Caravan Club’s celebrity member, Linda Barker opened the Boat & Caravan Show and took a look at some “cool caravans”
TV presenter and interior designer, Linda Barker, opened the Boat & Caravan Show (23-28 Feb) at the NEC welcoming visitors on behalf of The Caravan Club. Linda Barker also reviewed The Caravan Club’s Catwalk of “Cool Caravans” where visitors to the show can see some of the funky models that are available today.
Linda Barker (pictured) commented: “I can’t wait to get away in a motorhome. I’ve just completed a new book ‘Wild Swimming’ and with my husband and daughter we’ll be looking for sites from which we can explore some of the country’s lesser-known waterways. Caravanning is a great way for families to bond.”
And if you’ve not been inside a caravan for a few years, you’ll find that things have changed almost beyond recognition. Modern caravans have all mod cons and as many home comforts as you desire, including state of the art kitchen facilities, luxury shower, fixed beds, heating/air con and in-house entertainment.
Director of Marketing for The Caravan Club, Nick Lomas, said: “We are really pleased to be working with Linda Barker on this event, so many people do not realise how far caravan design has progressed. The Club, along with Linda, want to highlight that modern caravans and motor caravans have functionality, comfort, luxury and aesthetics at the forefront of their design.”
