Coachman Caravans have appointed Martin Fitzpatrick as its new Sales Director. Martin will take up the role on 6th June 2011, and joins the Coachman team from major caravan equipment supplier Thetford Ltd, where he had worked as Head of Sales & Customer Service since 2002.

Jim Hibbs, Managing Director of Coachman said:

“We are really pleased to be able to welcome Martin to the Coachman team. He has a wealth of experience in the caravan industry, and a strong track record in delivering a high quality service to customers.

“Martin will be a full Board Director, and his appointment will help us to capitalise on our £5.5M investments into both our production facilities and products. Martin will be responsible for improving and developing our dealer network, as we look towards achieving an increase in our market share.”

Martin joined Thetford in 2002 at the launch of its European Refrigeration business. In 2005, when Thetford acquired Spinflo and relocated their UK offices from Nuneaton to Sheffield, Martin was responsible for building a new customer service team, which has developed a strong reputation across the caravan industry for quality of service.

Martin Fitzpatrick commented on his appointment:

“I am very excited about the opportunities and challenges of joining Coachman Caravans. The Company, its people and its products are already held in high esteem and I hope to be able to add my own brand of dynamism, enthusiasm and passion to the team.

“I look forward to working closely with our dealer network and consumer customers alike and learning from them how Coachman Caravans can remain their premium choice of touring caravan”.

Coachman Caravans was established in 1986 and continues to operate as one of the leading caravan manufacturers in the industry. The company employs 145 members of staff and strives to produce caravans of the highest quality whilst providing superior after sales service. Their range includes the Amara, Pastiche, VIP and Laser.
