New Author turns his back on material world to discover ‘real life’ in his caravan

Jack George Edmundson has turned his back on his previously materialistic lifestyle to pursue his dream of becoming an author. In doing so he has given up two houses, a successful business and almost everything money can buy to leave a few pounds in the bank and a Bailey Ranger Series 5 510/4.

Edmundson was driven to writing his book after finding himself unfulfilled in a convenient marriage and working long hours in a stressful but well paid job. Consequently he made the life changing decision to leave everything behind and move to Catalonia in Spain in search of a more real existence where he found the inspiration to start writing.

His first novel The Sun Sharer is already a bestseller and could be described as ‘alternative women’s fiction’. It has been written by a man and tells an intriguing yet tragic story questioning the meaning of love whether in a marriage or in an affair. In contrast to other books of its genre ‘The Sun Sharer’ is a black alternative to most romances and contains a spiritual twist. It is the first part of a completed trilogy of books.

Today he lives the simple life in his Bailey caravan, which as Jack says: “gives me a freedom of spirit. It helps me appreciate the basics – running water, electricity, a shower and a decent toilet. We forget that.”

“In the book I write that ‘less is more’ and that is what I’ve gained” he added.

It is from his caravan, that Jack is currently promoting ‘The Sun Sharer’ as he travels across the length and breadth of the UK before heading back to Catalonia to continue work on the second and third books in his trilogy.

In late May he made time in his busy schedule to visit Bailey’s South Liberty Lane manufacturing plant to spend time seeing where his faithful Bailey Ranger was produced.
