New Design Director for Swift Group

Swift Group is delighted to announce that with immediate effect Chris Milburn has been promoted to Design Director for Swift Group. Chris will be responsible for driving the design of the Swift Group’s Caravans, Motorhomes and Holiday Homes forward for the future and has already been a key influence of the recent reshaping of the caravan ranges.
As a result Andy Spacey’s title will change from Design and Development Director to Technical Director to provide solid focus and leadership in these key areas.
Chris has been with the Swift Group for 8 years, starting as Designer Manager and most recently being Chief Designer before this promotion.
Chris has a strong design background, he studied automotive design at Coventry University culminating in a Degree in Transportation Design. He started his design career in 1985 with Rover Group who sponsored him through a Masters Degree in Automotive Design at the Royal College of Art in London.
During his 18 years in the car industry he was involved in designing trucks for DAF, cars for Honda, Peugeot, BMW, Hyundai, Daewoo, Bentley and Rolls Royce. He also designed numerous private business and head of state business jets with clients including President Moi of Kenya and President Suharto of Indonesia. He also has an MBA from Warwick Business School and has worked on automotive projects around the world including in Holland, Poland, South Korea, the United States and Iran.
Chris Milburn commented on his new role, “I am very excited about taking on the role of Design Director. It confirms Swift’s focus on being a leader of design in the leisure industry. I feel that Swift has an excellent range of products and very experienced and talented staff. I am looking forward to driving our products forward and strengthening Swift’s reputation for design.”
