New Elddis Crusader Hurricane: lightweight, class-leading spec

The all-new Elddis Crusader Hurricane has arrived and it’s lighter, cheaper and has more specification as standard than its UK competitors.

The Elddis Crusader range was redesigned for the 2012 Season, but until now this best-selling brand was only available in 4- and 6-berth options. We were inundated with requests for a compact 2-berth touring caravan to complete the line-up and Elddis will unveil the resulting Hurricane model at the Motorhome, Caravan and Camping Show at London’s ExCeL on Tuesday 14th February.

This year Elddis has led the way with unique and innovative lightweight touring caravans – compact models that are easy to tow and manoeuvre, without compromising on build quality or class-leading specification.

So far this season, our super-lightweight and multi-award-winning models Xplore 302, Xplore 304 and Avante 372 have stolen the show, holding their own against the latest lightweight offerings entering the UK market.

It’s a formula that works well: featherweight models that pack a punch with more specification as standard and solid, craftsman-built integrity.

The Crusader Hurricane is shorter than any other luxury 2-berth caravan at just over 6m, making it nimble to tow and easy to store at home for more spontaneous getaways.

The Hurricane weighs in at a mere 1335kgs MTPLM – a massive 125kgs lighter than the equivalent 2-berth from one of the UK’s leading competitors – and has a class-leading user payload of 135kgs, streets ahead of all our UK competitors.

At £18,999 the Crusader Hurricane is highly competitive and exceptional value for money. It is brimming with exciting and innovative specification and is the smallest UK touring caravan to be fitted with ALDE central heating system.
