Swift Group received a massive boost following the launch of the new Swift Challenger and Conqueror, Sterling Eccles and Elite ranges by achieving just over £3.5 million worth of sales in just two days at the Lawns Caravan Show at Cottingham, Nr Hull, at the weekend.
The new products, which feature a radical new exterior and interior treatment which the company claim will shape the future design of touring caravans, saw over 110,000 people visit the Swift web site, www.swiftgroup.co.uk following the dealer launch in late August. Sales were more than double last year’s figures.
The Lawns was the first public viewing of the new models which feature motorhome style construction and offer a new panoramic sunroof window in the roof over the lounge area.
With fully bonded roofs, European Whole Vehicle Type Approval and Grade 3 Insulation for year round touring, the new ranges are having a major impact on the market and will substantially strengthen Swift’s market leading position.
“We were confident we had some revolutionary new products but the speed at which the public have latched on to these new designs via our web site shows record levels of interest. To achieve this level of retail sales less than 2 weeks after the launch clearly demonstrates a massive pent up demand for a more modern design of tourer and gives us great confidence going into the major show at the NEC in October,” Commercial Director Nick Page commented.
