Whisper Power, a leading power systems company,  with headquarters in the Netherlands, will release two new products for the recreational vehicle market at the upcoming Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf (Stand nr. 13F87). The first product is a compact silent and efficient  hybrid energy system and the other one is a high precision battery monitor.

Hybrid Energy System; Genverter 7i
The Genverter 7i is based on the Genverter 4 Basic, a variable rpm 3.8 kVA, 230 V diesel generator in which the rpm is adjusted to power demands: The higher the requirements, the higher the rpm; the lower the demand, the lower the rpm. Variable Speed Technology© applies a Permanent Magnet flywheel alternator making the system more compact and virtually silent. In addition, the Permanent Magnet generator integrated in the flywheel of the motor has a much higher output than traditional fixed rpm generators (94%). Combined with the variable rpm concept this results in considerable fuel savings (25% average) compared to conventional systems, as well as less maintenance and a longer lifespan. This Hybrid Genverter combines the Genverter Basictechnology with a sine wave inverter and a integrated 3-stage battery charger. The total capacity of the system is 7 kW with a peak capacity of over 10 kW, while the diesel generator only runs to charge the battery or feed larger AC consumers, switching off when loads are low. The connected 230 V equipment continues to operate (without pause) on the 3.5 kW (7 kW peak) sine wave inverter, which is connected to the 24VDC board battery. For 12 Volt systems the inverter supplies 2 kW continuous power. There is also a 48 VDC model available.

The system is supplied with WhisperPower Gel or AGM batteries (optional), which are charged when the Genverter is connected to shore power. Once the battery approaches a certain discharge level and no land connection is available, the diesel motor automatically switches on to supply the consumers and recharge the battery. A low shore power or amperage is automatically compensated for by the battery/inverter (buffer function).

Battery Monitor
The Whisper Battery Monitor, WBM, provides accurate monitoring of one or two battery banks, including precise battery life remaining, ampere hours consumed and the percent state of the charge indicator. It also features various programmable alarms and is easy to use thanks to a full plug & play installation.

The Whisper Battery Monitor (WBM) makes all battery information available at a glance for up to two battery banks, showing expected remaining power, remaining lifespan, consumed ampere-hours, state of charge, voltage, and current and historical data. The WBM range consists of three high-quality products: The WBM Basic, with essential read-out functions; the WBP Pro, with the capacity to calculate remaining power with a high degree of accuracy; and the WBM-Pro HV high voltage unit, designed for electrical propulsion systems.

WBM ensures that users never unexpectedly run out of power and know in time when their batteries need replacing, allowing a lifespan that is up to 20% longer. This improves system availability and saves fuel by reducing generator running time. Furthermore, WBM measures the state of charge with a high degree of accuracy thanks to an efficient algorithm designed for the purpose.

Features include a large backlit LC display, quick nut mounting construction, fully programmable alarm relay, shunt selection capability enabling flexible system integration, a communication/expansion port and internal memory for storing product use history. The units are CE and e-mark certified, and allow full plug & play installation. A comprehensive range of accessories has also been put together for the WBM by Whisper Power.

The WhisperPower products are available for sale from WhisperPower and select resellers.
