Time to “flee the nest”  this October and discover the wild untamed  countryside of County Mayo at the Trek West two day weekend walking festival taking place on the 2nd and 3rd of October next.

The first day of the festival will challenge walkers to the 20km Bonniconlon Loop taking in the Ox Mountains and amazing surrounding lakes.  By Saturday evening participants will have earned their place at the Festival Banquet, followed by “craic agus ceol” at an award winning restaurant and bar in Ballina!  On Sunday the itinerary will be split between a morning and afternoon session at Lough Muck and Lough Callow near Foxford.

Priced at €195 p.p.s. (single supplement of €20 per night applies) the Trek West Walking Festival is great value and includes:

Bonniconlon Trails Added to Trek West Routes

We are delighted to include five new way marked looped walks at Bonniconlon in North East Mayo to our growing selection of available routes for walking or mountain biking.

Overlooked by the Ox Mountains on the Mayo Sligo border, Bonniconlon boasts a wild beauty and is an ideal walking/cycling base.  The Bonniconlon Trails consists of five recreational trails of various distances and degrees of difficulty.  More..
