Paultons Park was voted the UK’s Top Theme Park by Which? and has just been crowned with an Outstanding Achievement Award in Tourism South East’s Beautiful South Awards for Excellence
Exbury was named as Britain’s top garden to visit by Hudson’s Heritage. Its Head Gardener John Anderson was awarded Hampshire Gardener of the Year and the RHS awarded 12 first prizes for displays of autumn foliage and berries
Chewton Glen won the Most Excellent Hotel title in Conde Nast Johansens 2012 Awards for Excellence
Lime Wood won the Most Excellent Country House Hotel title in Conde Nast Johansens 2012 Awards for Excellence
Lymington won a Google e-Towns award, naming it as one of the top 700 in the country for growth in businesses using e-commerce to attract customers
World Champion Sommelier Gerard Basset, owner of the Hotel TerraVina, received his OBE for Services to Hospitality and was Wine Personality of the Year in the Harpers Wine & Spirits Drinking Out Excellence Awards
Beaulieu staff won Amazing People Awards
Cottage Lodge in Brockenhurst won the Green Leaf Sustainable Business Award in the Brilliance in Business Awards
Little Paddock B&B won a silver award and breakfast award from VisitBritain.
The Cloud Hotel at Brockenhurst was made an AA Inspectors Choice Hotel and awarded two red stars
More New Forest businesses than ever before were nominated in the newly-announced Tourism South East’s Beautiful South Awards for Excellence awards which saw over 100 entries competing for titles. They range from some of the country’s top attractions to high quality hotels, B&Bs, self-catering and camping and touring sites.
