Subaru Legacy Tourer Joins Caravan Cruise Ireland

Picked up the keys to a Subaru Legacy Tourer this week. It joins us for an extended test-drive period over the summer months where it will be put to use as the official tow car for Caravan Cruise Ireland magazine.
Initial impressions after a first drive across country are very positive and I think that the Subaru will become a firm favourite very quickly. It feels very solid, secure and well-built, and the diesel Boxer engine – which I loved when I tested it in the Forester – seems well suited to this car as well. We’ll reserve final judgement on that though until it is put through its towing paces. Equipment wise it comes well loaded, with the sound system in particular one of the best I’ve heard for some time.
The looks might be somewhat subjective (this is a Subaru after all), but I rather like the Legacy Tourer’s profile – the satin white colour of the test car seems to particularly suit it, giving it quite a considerable presence on the road.
Make sure to check back for lots of updates to follow as we get better acquainted in the coming months with Subaru’s large estate.
