Suzuki Marine GB are powering into the 2012 Boat & Caravan Show by sponsoring, for the second year running, the centrepiece of the dedicated Boat Hall – the Suzuki Power Pool.
Taking place at The NEC from 21 – 26 February 2012, the Boat & Caravan Show, which attracted nearly 87,000 last year, will be showcasing a range of boats to suit all budgets, attracting thousands of visitors new to boating. These range from sports boats, rigid inflatables, sailing dinghies, jet bikes, river oats, kayaks and traditional narrow boats.
The Suzuki Power Pool, a massive draw for visitors at last year’s show, will feature a variety of boats and crafts including the popular Beneteau range as well as ribs and fishers.
Commenting on the company’s continued involvement with the show, Gareth Lumsdaine, Suzuki Marine’s Sales and Marketing Director commented: “”The Boat & Caravan Show gives us an ideal platform to show customers our range of 2.5hp – 300hp four stroke outboard motors and drive sales through our dealer and boat builder network. The Suzuki Power Pool worked well for us this year as it enabled us to display the products on the water, even though the show is indoors!”
Additionally, the show includes the popular Inland Waterways area enabling visitors to climb on board the finest canal boats and river cruisers and to learn more about the UK’s miles of inland waterways.
The leading brands of canoes and kayaks for kids and adults will also be on offer. Experts will be providing advice on how to get started in this enjoyable family activity or give it a try on the indoor pool where free canoe and kayak sessions will be on offer.
Visitors will also find great boating holiday destinations in the UK and Europe, the opportunity to hire boats with special show deals and the chance to buy a whole range of accessories from chandlery and engines to wetsuits.
Andy Gibb, the Boat & Caravan Show’s award winning Exhibition Director comments: “For over fifty years the show has given those new to boating a real flavour of the joys and advantages of owning or renting a holiday boat. Suzuki Marine’s continued commitment to the show highlights the importance major manufacturers place on an event that year in year out delivers the right audience to our exhibitors.
“The show though is so much more than a boating event as it celebrates everything positive about the Great British Outdoors including the latest caravans, motorhomes, holiday homes, park homes and lodges. This is further demonstrated by the continued growth of The Outdoor Leisure Show which runs alongside the Boat & Caravan Show from Friday 24 – Sunday 26 February 2012.”
