The Caravan & Motorhome Show, taking place from 17-20 January 2013, will be the biggest ever held in the North West, following the huge success of last year.  Returning to EventCity, Manchester, the event will showcase the latest caravans, motorhomes and accessories from over 200 exhibitors and expects to attract visitors exceeding last year’s numbers, when 31,489 attended over the four days.

The show is the best place for caravanners to start their new season with a host of parks and campsites offering special discounts including Langcliffe Park, Lyons Holidays Parks, Northam Farm Caravan Park, Riverside Caravan Park, Tingdene Parks, Best of British Holiday Parks and many more. Fantastic UK attractions and tourist boards, including Cadbury’s World, Visit Guernsey and Visit Hull & East Yorkshire, will also be on hand to encourage visitors to discover the best Britain has to offer. For those who like to travel more widely for their caravanning and motorhoming adventures, tourist boards and travel companies will be sharing ideas and expert advice on holidaying in France, Spain, Greece, Cyprus and beyond.

Visitors looking to check out the latest caravan and motorhome models will not be disappointed with a huge choice from the leading brands. Discover and compare the new products from Swift, Bailey, Elddis, Lunar, Coachman, Eterniti, Autocruise, Auto-Trail, Hymer, Burstner, Romahome and VW displayed by the region’s premier dealerships including, among others, Campbells Caravans, Glossop Caravans, Lowdham Leisureworld, Richard Baldwin and Spinney Motorhomes.

Both The Caravan Club and The Camping and Caravanning Club will be present, offering expert advice for experienced enthusiasts and new-comers alike. The Caravan Club will be offering free expert tuition on ‘Motorhome Manoeuvring’, helping visitors brush up on their skills, and ‘Towcar Try a Tow’ where you can get hands-on with the winners of the prestigious Towcar of the Year Awards.

The show is a great value family day out with plenty to keep the kids entertained.  Children under 16 can visit free of charge and The Camping and Caravanning Club has partnered with children’s entertainment experts Gullivers, of Gullivers’ Kingdom, to host the KidZone, now open on Friday for the first time, as well as over the weekend – a dedicated area for kids to enjoy activities such as face painting and balloon modelling. Visitors can also enjoy free car parking at EventCity and a free show guide as part of show admission.

The Caravan & Motorhome Show is also the perfect shopping destination for caravan and motorhome owners who are on the hunt for accessories such as bike-racks, sat-navs and outdoor furniture. For those in search of holiday inspiration, the show is an information hub with more campsites, holiday parks and destinations exhibiting than ever before, as well as a Farmers Market and Experts Theatre, packed with informative talks on everything from touring abroad and cooking delicious recipes on the road, to buying-used advice.

Visitors to the show will also enjoy free entry to the co-located The Times presents Destinations: The Holiday & Travel Show. Packed with the UK’s leading travel companies, Destinations is the perfect place to plan and book your holiday adventures with hundreds of inspirational ideas and expert advice on everything from short breaks in the UK to exotic escapes to every corner of the world.

Sam North, Clarion Show Director said, “We’re really looking forward to the 2013 show and building on the phenomenal success of 2012.  Visitors can look forward to a huge choice of holiday inspiration, both UK and overseas, along with the latest models from leading manufacturers. Over 40 of our exhibitors are participating for the first time ensuring a strong offering of new products and ideas for visitors to enjoy. We are investing heavily in the show to take advantage of last year’s record attendance figures and to deliver strong profits for our partners”.

Advance day tickets cost just £7.50, saving £1.50 compared to on the day prices, and kids go free (aged 16 and under). Tickets can be booked online at www.caravanshows.com or on the ticket hotline number 0844 873 7349, by quoting PRR1. Located next to the Trafford Centre, EventCity is the second largest exhibition space outside London and is easily accessible by car, with over 3,000 free parking spaces.
