Since its launch two years ago the Bailey Unicorn has become a firm favourite with the discerning caravan owner providing the unique combination of superior performance, award-winning design and market leading value for money. The second generation of Unicorn models, arriving in September, take this philosophy a stage further by moving the designs for an Alu-Tech caravan on to the next level both in terms of accessibility and desirability.
Alu-Tech leisure vehicles are more robust, more durable and yet lighter than those manufactured using conventional methods to offer greater protection against the elements to keep you comfortable, safe and secure all year round. The existing body shell has been enhanced with the addition of an impact resistant GRP outer skin plus re-profiled one piece front and rear bumpers to make certain that the new Bailey Unicorn is built to last.
To ensure that this eye-catching investment remains safe on the road and secure on site it is fitted with the latest safety and security equipment, including the AL-KO ATC Trailer Control System, a TRACKER Monitor Stolen Vehicle Recovery System plus new peak performance Michelin branded tyres and a high security door lock, as standard specification.
Inside the introduction of a new vertical front skylight, framed in a Walnut mounting complete with integral ambient and task lighting, totally transforms the caravan interior to create the perfect room with a view.
Interior styling, featuring the trademark Bailey Walnut finish, has been refined with new cabinetry featuring elegant curved profiles, dual-finish locker doors, granite effect worktops plus brushed steel fixtures and fittings to add to the feeling of quality. While new design elements such as the ergonomic dual-level kitchen units with contrasting overhead locker system, including a feature drinks cabinet, and the domestic style circular shower cubicle give the new Unicorn range the all important wow factor.
Each model comes with a choice of either Mozart or Rossini luxurious soft furnishing options featuring premium quality fabrics and superior cushion construction, both of which are supplied with a full complement of shaped arm rests and scatter cushions.
As practical as they are comfortable these well thought-out caravans include a host of new features designed to make your life easier. Ranging from a recessed 3-drawer front chest with slide out occasional table to a user friendly digital electrical control panel and a multitude of 230v internal power sockets (up to six in total) everything has been thought of to make these models a pleasure to own.
Supplied with everything you will need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday the new Unicorn range is fitted with a fully-specified Alde central heating system, including a 24 hour timer and heated towel rail, which combines with the market leading thermal properties of the Alu-Tech body shell to make this caravan the ultimate four season tourer. Kitchen appliances are upgraded with the introduction of a Thetford Caprice combination oven and grill and new dual-fuel hob, featuring an electric hotplate. While a home entertainment system, consisting solely of high performance branded equipment, including a freestanding home entertainment system incorporating a new 18.5″ flat screen television and DVD player plus a Radio/CD/MP3 player with iPod connectivity plus stereo speakers remain standard specification.
In summary the new Bailey Unicorn is a caravan that is full of surprises and one which offers something distinctly different. However perhaps the most surprising thing of all about a caravan featuring this much innovation is the fact that models also now weigh considerably less than their predecessors – with reductions of as much as 100kgs in the vehicle’s MPTLM figures.
