This Spring/Summer 2010, Timberland’s functional Outdoor Adventure range
has looked to the coastal playgrounds of New England for inspiration. The
eco-conscious collection of technical, high-impact, multi-sport performance
apparel and footwear remains true to its purpose  while respecting
Timberland’s environmental commitment.   Drawing inspiration from the
active New England town Kennebec, a hub for outdoor and adrenaline
activities, the range has been designed to take on all the adventures found
at Kennebec, from paddle sports to trail running and scrambling to
rafting.Timberland’s functional apparel offers super lightweight,
waterproof protection with breathability and wind resistance.  Seam sealed
constructions, rubberised trims, waterproof zips and peaked hoods all offer
further weather protection.  Bright colours are saturated and intense
whilst darker colours are rich and clean with pops of bright yellow, kiwi
and russet orange for a fast, active outdoor look.

The white-water rapids of the Kennebec river makes it one of the fastest in
New England. The speed and power of the Kennebec river has inspired new
amphibious styles that perform in and out of water. Timberland’s Mountain
Athletics®  range of supportive trail running and multi-activity shoes are
laden with a multitude of features including water resistance, quick drying
technology, drainage and moisture management, moving seamlessly from land
to water.

Timberland also has a strong ethos that as well as enjoying the great
outdoors they also work to preserve it. Partnering with Green Rubber Inc,
all  Timberland’s Mountain Athletics® footwear features Green Rubber™
outsoles made from 42% recycled rubber.  Throughout the apparel range,
organic and recycled fabrications have been used wherever possible.

Rip Current Tech
Built on a non-marking, siped, Green Rubber™ outsole, the Rip Current
Tech provides excellent traction on both the smooth surface of a boat deck
and uneven terrain of a river bank.  Designed for 80% on water use, side
and rear drainage panels have been positioned to allow water to escape
quickly and efficiently.  Highly breathable hydrophobic mesh and synthetic
uppers offers all-over foot protection, at the same time allowing air to
circulate around the foot for quick drying and comfort.  The bungee lace
system offers a quick and easy pull tightening grip.

All Mountain Run-Off
Designed for multi-activity, the All Mountain Run-Off is designed to spend
80% of its time on the trail.  Equipped with a trail lug outsole that grips
in wet and dry conditions; a rubber toe for protection; and a compressed
EVA midsole for lightweight cushioning, it’s great for sports such as
Adventure Racing.  Toe and heel drainage with a highly breathable
hydrophobic mesh upper means river crossing will not take a second thought.
A lace garage in the tongue keeps laces at bay, while the quick pull
lacing system offers quick and easy support.  A TPU external stability
control frame has been tuned for trail and water use.

The Mountain Athletics®  range also features Timberland’s proprietary
Independent Suspension Network™ technology, a dynamic midsole delivering
superior control, support, stability and agility on uneven and varying
trail conditions.  Lugs have been engineered to adapt and retract to
terrain while maximising forefoot flexibility and propulsion, while the
heel is designed to absorb and diffuse shock.

Stonington Shell Jacket
The Stonington Shell Jacket is a versatile, lightweight, all-weather jacket
that offers 5,000mm of waterproof protection.  The 2.5 layer laminate,
sealed seams and waterproof zips keeps you dry in a downpour, while the
breathable PU coating allows heat and moisture to pass through the fabric
and away from your skin.  The fixed hood also features laser ventilation at
the front for additional summer comfort. Oversized utility pockets have
been ergonomically set for easy access, while laser cut textured rubber
adjusters with hook and eye closure on the sleeves allow fit customisation.
Made from a blend of 65% organic cotton and 35% recycled nylon, this jacket
is made for those who want to tread lightly on the planet.

Packable Benton Cagoule
Perfect for stuffing into your backpack for unexpected weather, the Benton
Cagoule is an ultra-lightweight shell that packs into it own fully
waterproof chest pocket.  Made from 100% recycled polyester, the rip stop
construction provides durability and hardwearing use.  A fixed hood with
laser ventilation at the front allows air circulation, and treated with a
3,000mm breathable PU coating, the jacket provides water and wind
resistance, with breathable comfort.  The hook and eye closure at the
sleeves enables personal adjustment.

Stonington Hybrid River Short
The Stonington Hybrid River Short is great for on land and on water use.
Made from a blend of 50% recycled nylon and 50% nylon, the water resistant
finish repels water and is fast drying.  Mesh lined to offer comfort and
aid wicking, moisture is transferred away from the skin and through the
fabric. Large cargo pockets offer storage solutions, while a mesh channel
provides quick water release.  An ergonomic zip pocket provided secure,
quick and easy access.    The shorts are accompanied with a waterproof pocket
bag that keeps the shorts dry while in storage.
