Ham Sandwich, The Original Rudeboys and Le Galaxie are among the diverse range of acts lined up to play Vantastival 2012, which will take place for the third time in County Louth over the May bank holiday weekend. Frankie Gavin & DeDannan, Rarely Seen Above Ground and I Draw Slow are also on the line up, with local hero Jinx Lennon from Dundalk set to return this year.  Major headliners are still to be announced for the festival, while the line up has a strong showing from some of the most promising up-and-coming acts on the Irish scene at the moment.

Shortlisted for the IMRO Music Festival of the Year Award, Vantastival continues to promote rising unsigned bands with this year’s bill including The Dirty Valentines, Raglans, Wyvern Lingo, Cars Love Girls and Trap Door to name a few. Northern Irish acts Master and Dog and Miss Paula Flynn will also join local favourites Third Smoke, The Trampz and Redtwelve on the schedule.

Vantastival is moving to a new venue this year, and will take place at the beautiful Bellurgan Park, just north of Dundalk, exactly halfway between Dublin and Belfast. The festival runs from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th May and ticket prices are very recession friendly, with a limited number of earlybird tickets now on sale from the website at €70 for three nights camping.
