‘Westport Festival of Music and Food’, the two-day, family-friendly multi-stage festival which will take place in the stunning grounds of Westport House on Saturday, 29th and 30th of June, is delighted to announce the addition of The Silver Seas, Squeeze and Martha Wainright to the stellar line-up which includes almost 50 acts.

Squeeze
British band Squeeze came to prominence in the UK during the New Wave period of the late 1970s and continued recording successfully in the 1980s and 1990s. They are known in the UK for their hit songs “Cool for Cats”, “Up the Junction”, “Tempted”, “Labelled With Love”, “Black Coffee In Bed”, “Another Nail in My Heart”, “Pulling Mussels (From the Shell)” and “Hourglass”.   Squeeze will perform on Sunday, 30th June.

The Silver Seas
The Silver Seas (formerly The Bees) are a pop rock band from Nashville, Tennessee, that formed when producer Jason Lehning met singer-songwriter Daniel Tashian. The band released their debut ‘Starry Gazey Pie’ in 2004 and followed this up with ‘High Society’ in 2006.   The band independently released their third album, ‘Château Revenge!’, to critical acclaim in late 2010 (USA) and in Europe in September 2011.  Breaking Bad fans will know The Silver Seas as their song “Catch The Train” was featured in Season 1.

Martha Wainwright has a remarkable stage presence. She sucks her audience in & you can’t help but be transfixed by her voice and her quirky, enchanting spirit. Martha is the daughter of folk legends Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle and is the sister of acclaimed singer songwriter Rufus Wainwright.   Martha will perform on Sunday, 30th June.
