This Easter Lough Neagh Partnership is offering visitors to the Lough Neagh & Its Waterways Destination the opportunity to share their experience with the world. They have launched a video competition which will help to promote Lough Neagh & Its Waterways as a visitor destination. The aim of the competition is for people to capture their visit to Lough Neagh on their smartphone, just a 30 second clip, showing how they enjoyed their trip to Lough Neagh.
The video clip could be anything explains Eimear Kearney, Marketing Officer for the Lough Neagh Partnership “we are looking for footage of real life experiences from walking and picnicking along the shore, to enjoying a boat trip on the water, a tour around one of the many historic sites or an adrenalin fuelled tree top adventure. We are encouraging people to be creative with their smartphone, but most of all, we want to see people enjoying themselves, that’s what it’s all about”
Eimear Kearney went on to say “Lough Neagh & Its waterways has so many great experiences and stories to tell, we want to encourage visitors to share theirs in a 30 second (or less) video clip so we can create a promotional video that will be streamed worldwide and give people a flavour for what the destination is all about”
The Competition is offering a fantastic package of prizes for one lucky winner including; an overnight stay at the White River Hotel for 2 people Dinner, B&B, a Pollan Supper for 2 at the fried Fish Warehouse, a £20 gift voucher for the Crosskeys Inn, a Tree Top Adventure as well as a Zorb roll at the Jungle NI and a Samsung Galaxy Tablet (sponsored by NITB), a Digital Camcorder (sponsored by Watson & Co Chartered Marketing) and a Belleek Pottery x (sponsored by Inform Communications).
How to enter: Submit a 30 second (or less) video clip of your visit to Lough Neagh & Its Waterways by email to email@example.com before noon on Friday 30th May 2014, Entries should put ‘video comp entry’ followed by your name in the subject line. The video clip must be filmed in landscape format. One overall winner (announced 13th June 2014) will be selected from the entries for the prizes, but a selection of videos will be used by Lough Neagh Partnership to create a promotional video for the Lough Neagh & Its Waterways Destination. The promotional video (made up of clips entered) will be launched on the Lough Neagh Youtube channel on Thursday 19th June 2014 https://www.youtube.com/user/loveloughneagh The winner of the competition will be announced on our facebook and Twitter pages on Friday 13th June 2014.
By submitting a video to the competition, you are giving Lough Neagh Partnership permission to use the content of the video for the purpose of promoting Lough Neagh & Its Waterways destination. Lough Neagh Partnership will have full editorial control over the content of the promotional video.
