Compass, alongside Elddis, Xplore and Buccaneer caravans are built by The Explorer Group, in County Durham.
All four brands – regardless of their price-point – are fully bonded, using the same world-class chemical structural bonding system as found in the automotive, aerospace and marine industries. The Group calls this ‘SoLiD Construction’ – with the benefits of bonding being in the name: SoLiD: Strong. Light. Dry.
This type of construction is the norm for cars, boats and is even used in the bonding of aeroplane wings – but The Explorer Group is the first and only manufacturer to apply this tried-and-tested technology to caravans and motorhomes.
Martin Henderson, Sales and Marketing Director at The Explorer Group says: “The decision to bring back Compass was very much due to the overwhelming success and increased consumer demand for SoLiD Construction and the need to make this industry-leading construction method available to a much wider audience.
“The key to the ongoing success of the Compass brand is not only SoLiD Construction, craftsman-built quality and distinctive, innovative Compass features – but equally a well-placed, knowledgeable and dedicated Retailer network to look after our Compass Customers.”
And since the launch at the start of the 2014 Season, Compass is now firmly back on the map with a fast-growing Retailer network across the UK.
Martin confirms: “We are delighted that some of the best-known and respected Retailers are now proudly representing our Compass caravan ranges in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland including Cookstown Caravans, County Tyrone.”
