Enjoy Conan Doyle’s tale of mystery, bravery and suspense and Kenneth Grahame’s story of adventurous escapades in two of Ireland’s most stunning open-air venues.

Guided Walk of Powerscourt with RHSI President
Would you like to know how the world-famous gardens at Powerscourt were designed and constructed by a single family across several centuries? Robert Myerscough, President of the Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland (RHSI) will give a unique insight into the vision of the 6th, 7th and 8th Viscounts Powerscourt and how they created one of the most amazing vistas in the world! Join Robert for a walk around the gardens and tree collections at Powerscourt.
The trees in the garden are among its outstanding features, with many rare and exceptionally big specimens. Learn about the champion specimens planted in the mid-1800s, as well as the rare and interesting ones that have been planted more recently. Early June is the perfect time to see this wonderful collection in all its summer glory!
The tour takes place on the 11th of June at 11am in Powerscourt Gardens. It is included in the entrance price to the gardens and is free for annual members. No booking is required. See www.powerscourt.ie/events for more information.
