With the new Hymermobil ML-I, the premium manufacturer of motorhomes and caravans from Bad Waldsee is launching a fully-integrated mobile home in the spring of 2015, underpinned by the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. The strengths and competences of two vehicle pioneers are masterfully combined and come into their own perfectly on this model. Here, state-of-the-art vehicle technology meets innovative lightweight construction and also pleasant driving and living comfort.

The new HYMER ML-I is a classically styled, exceptionally compact and manoeuvrable integrated motorhome on a Mercedes chassis, which is based on the lightweight concept of the semi-integrated HYMER ML-T. In a particularly exemplary way, the latest vehicle and drive system technology from Mercedes-Benz is married here to the patented PUAL lightweight construction and the driving and living comfort that one has come to expect of motorhomes from HYMER. “With the HYMER ML-I, we have achieved a balancing act by building a fully-integrated motorhome on Mercedes Sprinter basis with rear-wheel drive in the 3.5 ton category”, says Bernhard Kibler, Head of HYMER Reisemobile, on explaining the special features of the new vehicle model.

The high expectations of quality that both partners feel obligated to are reflected in all areas of the elegant Hymermobil ML-I. The new model is available in three engine versions: starting with the frugal 4-cylinder unit with 95 kW (129 HP), the 120 kW (163 HP) version and finally the agile V6-cylinder unit with 141 kW (190 HP). All three versions come as standard with safety sports suspension, which enables safe and relaxed driving in combination with the optional 7G automatic gearbox with torque converter. Additional anti-roll bars at the rear axle provide even greater safety and a high level of travelling comfort. Even the universally installed safety equipment is of a premium standard. Among other things, these items include: driver and front passenger airbags, ABS, ASR and the adaptive ESP. Thanks to HYMER’s patented PUAL body, the Hymermobil is particularly well adapted to wintry conditions owing to its outstanding insulation properties and rear-wheel drive, which makes it well suited for use in all seasons. The drinking water and grey water tanks are insulated and also heated. Having reached a level of technical equipment that leaves nothing to be desired, the new Hymermobil ML-I also shines with a cleverly conceived interior concept in which comfort and functionality go hand in hand in all areas. This starts right from the entrance area, featuring an electric access step, an entry door with window as well as an LED awning light with rain deflector. The floor of the living space runs uninterrupted from the cab right back to the rear of the vehicle.

The Aguti Ergoflex-type swivelling pilot seats can be adjusted in height and tilt angle and the seating arrangement in the front is equipped with two integrated three-point seat belts. Multi-zone cold foam mattresses and the high quality mattress topper ensure a pleasant night’s sleep. Extra wide kitchen drawers with servo-soft closing feature make it easier to get to utensils when cooking. Available as standard is the convenient Smart-Tower refrigerator with a capacity of 142 litres, including a 15 litre freezer compartment. LED interior lighting throughout ensures a pleasant living room atmosphere. Additional comfort is offered by the multimedia package with flat screen television holder as well as radio and TV preparation, including six loudspeakers, which are placed all around the interior. Standing at an exterior height of 2.90 metres, the HYMER ML-I boasts a generous garage with a head clearance of 1.21 metres and a payload capacity of 350 kilograms (which can be uprated to 450 kilograms as an option). In addition there are two large garage doors on the left and right. As with the Hymermobil ML-T, the fully integrated Hymermobil ML-I, which is due to be launched from the coming spring, should become a figurehead of the HYMER brand and incite enthusiasm among customers.
