HYMER, the German motorhome and caravan manufacturer,
successfully showcased its products at this year’s Japan Camping
Car Show in Chiba. Above all, it was the new Hymermobil ML-I on the
Mercedes-Benz chassis, which is shortly to enter the Japanese market,
that met with considerable interest from the public.

At this year’s “Japan Camping Car Show” in Chiba in mid-February, the German motorhome and caravan manufacturer HYMER showed a selection of its product innovations. The central event was the premiere of the new Hymermobil ML-I based on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis, which stands for top exclusivity, unique comfort and the most modern technology. Around 60,000 visitors gathered information over the three days of the trade fair about the latest motorhomes and caravans, as well as outdoor equipment and camping sites. “Both the fully integrated Hymermobil ML-I and the semi-integrated HYMER ML-T were very well received by the public. Customers particularly liked the generous living space offered on a vehicle only 2.22 metres wide,” said Futabako Adachi, Managing Director of Daiwa Sangyo in Tokyo, importers for the Hymer Premium Shop Group in Japan.

With the new Hymermobil ML-I, HYMER is bringing its latest top model to the Japanese market this spring. In the fully integrated motorhome, the strengths and expertise of the two German premium manufacturers HYMER und Mercedes-Benz were united in an exemplary manner. The Hymermobil ML-I completely satisfies the Asian customers’ preference for very compact and technically well-equipped vehicles. The German premium model can also be admired this spring at several Camping Car Shows in Japan. “It is only logical that we follow a global concept and also have a presence on the international markets with our multi-layered portfolio of leisure vehicles”, said Jörg Reithmeier. The Hymermobil ML-I is an important and groundbreaking component of the company’s world-wide growth strategy, according to the HYMER Managing Director. “We also want to open up new growth potential outside our European core markets, expand already existing activities and constantly develop our technological expertise”, said Jörg Reithmeier. In this process, “Made in Germany” is a very important quality feature for HYMER, which is why production takes place exclusively in Bad Waldsee in Germany. Maximum safety, the highest degree of comfort, best service, greatest economy and setting the latest standards are the brand values of the company. Based on these essential pillars, the intention is to steadily continue the increased internationalisation of HYMER in the years to come.
