KNAUS & Cannondale join forces in Mountain Bike Racing

Long-lasting cooperation agreed; access to a young and active target group
The affinity to nature and a high level of mobility: Motorhome users and mountain bike riders have much more in common than one might think at first glance. Especially when you consider the target group of camper van users in particular, it is precisely this clientele that looks for adventure and action. With this background in mind the motorhome manufacturer KNAUS today announces the partnership with Cannondale, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of road bikes and mountain bikes. For all the routes that the Cannondale Factory Racing XC Team and the Cannondale OverMountain Team cannot manage by bike, they now use a KNAUS BoxStar Freeway 630 ME, a popular camper van model with classic single-bed layout.
For KNAUS this cooperation with Cannondale and its Race Programs, provides access to the group of young and active nature enthusiasts. At the same time the experience of professional cyclists, especially of current World Vice XC Champion Manuel Fumic and Enduro World Champion Jerome Clementz, should provide more insight into the special needs of this target group. In addition to many racing events the KNAUS BoxStar also will be used at bike festivals and at different dealer events.
“When our athletes are competing, we want them to be as comfortable as possible during their down time,” said Bob Burbank, Global General Manager, Cannondale. “KNAUS campers offer ample room for our top riders to chill and mentally prepare for the next race.”
“We are happy to have found such a renowned caravaning partner with KNAUS”, says Daniel Hespeler, Sports Marketing Manager MTB at Cannondale. “For our top athletes the camper van will provide an ideal place of relaxation at the races. The service team at the same time will benefit from a spacious and highly comfortable way of transporting our sports equipment.”
