Letter from Jacinta Doolan, Chair, Irish Self Catering Federation

Dear Colleague,

It has become abundantly clear during this Covid – 19 crisis that having a representative body for your business, whatever that may be, is vital to ensure the voice of the actual provider is heard clearly in the recovery process and in formulating supports for what lies ahead. The real value of having the ISCF represent the self-catering sector at the negotiating table is because every single one of the Executive Council and members are providers. We are all self catering owners or managers ourselves. We understand how the sector operates on the ground and it is for this reason we need everyone to add their voice so that your opinions are heard very clearly when we are asked to contribute on behalf of the sector in Ireland. With the formation of the new Government and appointment of a new Minister now is the opportune time to lobby to ensure our sector is recognized as a vital source of accommodation in the Tourism path to recovery.

It does not matter how you market your property – our product is the same – self catering accommodation for tourists. For those of you who are not already members, do register your interest now, on line. We have suspended membership fees until September 2020 when you can decide to remain as a member or not. We are a Stronger Voice Together!

We look forward to hearing from you.

With best wishes

Jacinta
