A very rare 61-registered Volkswagen Caravelle 2.0 180 BiTDI DSG ‘Edition 25′ set a record value at BCA Measham late last month.
The Caravelle was entered for sale by VWFS and sold for £31,400 following some very competitive bidding – the highest value recorded for a VW Transporter at BCA.
Duncan Ward BCA’s General Manager – Commercial Vehicles commented “This was a very rare example of the Caravelle Transporter, with a particularly high specification. This is executive travel at its most luxurious and we had a huge amount of interest from buyers. Just 225 examples of this particular specification were built, so it is not a vehicle you will see every day.”
The high-spec Caravelle featured seven seats in a 2+2+3 configuration with the middle seats rear-facing, air conditioning, heated front seats, leather trim, privacy glass, rear parking sensors and satellite navigation system. It was offered with a full service history, having covered just 21,000 miles from new. It was finished in white with alloy wheels and black contrast trim and had a 2.0 litre diesel engine with seven speed automatic gearbox.
