Swift Group, the UK’s leading touring caravan, motorhome and holiday home manufacturer is celebrating an all-time, record-breaking season to date, with sales for the Group’s touring caravans, motorhomes and holiday homes significantly ahead of the previous season.

Success started with the largest ever holiday home order placed in September and continued with record-breaking sales at the Motorhome and Caravan Show held at the NEC in Birmingham in October 2014.

Swift Group is delighted to announce that the recent Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show that closed on 22nd February 2015, also saw high sales levels of all products. Swift Group Tourers had its best performance in over five years with sales exceeding all expectations. Key performers were the Sprite range which was a massive 70% higher than last year which clearly endorses the range as the best value entry level caravan in the market.

The Group’s motorhome sales were also higher than last year with strong sales across all sectors. The performance of the Swift range, principally the all-new Rio, was a particular highlight with the Swift range overall being 43% ahead of last year.

Swift Group invested heavily in their motorhome ranges for the 2015 season with the addition of SMART construction in all coachbuilt ranges.

Swift Group also recently launched a new initiative aimed at the first time buyer, significantly enhancing the website with a dedicated first time buyer section providing all the help and advice a new caravanner could possibly need. At the show a dedicated help and advice booth was provided with the intention of assisting the first time buyer and it proved to be an enormous success with a good number of visitors indicating that the caravan industry is clearly attracting new people.

“It is clear that with confidence back in the market, customers are continuing to choose Swift Group as the company of choice in all our key markets. Customers are recognising the incredible value for money on all our ranges which are packed with features and innovative design. It is also great to see the amount of new people coming into the industry to take a look at leisure vehicles with a view to purchasing in the future.

We are delighted with the results which have shown an encouraging sign of resurgence in the caravan market, right from entry level to the top of the range. Sales have been so good our order book is almost full for the year. With the changes in pension regulations this year, some people will be able to access more of their money which will enable them to afford a high ticket purchase, something they may not have been able to do before. I think the industry will benefit from this and could see some buoyant years ahead.” Commercial Director, Nick Page, commented.
