Westport Festival of Music & Food is delighted to announce that some of Ireland’s greatest celebrity and Michelin Star chefs and restaurateurs will take part in a series of culinary demonstrations in The Food & Wine Magazine Village hosted by Norah Casey, at the two day boutique music & food festival which takes place at Westport House in Co Mayo on 28 & 29 June.      The Chef’s Kitchen was one of the festival highlights last year and was packed out by enthusiastic food lovers all weekend.

Gastronomic gurus including Rachel Allen, Clodagh McKenna, Darina Allen as well as Ross Lewis (Chapter One), Derry Clarke (L’Ecrivain), Noel McMeel (Lough Erne Resort), Neven Maguire (MacNean House), Seamus Commons (Knockranny House, Westport) and Frankie Mallon (An Port Mor, Westport) will prepare delicious mouth-watering dishes using locally produced, seasonal ingredients from Mayo and the surrounding areas in The Chef’s Kitchen.

Westport Festival foodies will be able to watch Ireland’s most talented chefs create some of their favourite recipes and pick up some handy tips, nibble on some delicious samples, and learn the secrets of the top chefs.    So whether you are looking for inspiration in the kitchen or just love to watch someone else do the cooking, you are guaranteed to learn something from the masters in action at the Westport Festival of Music & Food.  Some lucky diners will be invited to join the exclusive Chef’s Table where they can dine on the gourmet feasts prepared by the talented chefs.

Derry Clarke, owner of Michelin Star restaurant L’Ecrivain said: “The Chef’s Kitchen was one of the highlights of the Westport Festival last year and this year it will be even better.  I can’t wait to get back to Westport!   It’s one of the best festivals in Ireland.”

Norah Casey is looking forward to hosting The Chefs Kitchen at Westport Festival again this year “We have an outstanding line up of Ireland’s best chefs and restaurateurs giving gourmet culinary demonstrations and we will also have a Chef’s table, where people will be treated to a truly unique and exciting dining experience.”
