WILDAX MOTORHOMES & DFSK TO MANUFACTURE MINI CAMPERVANS
DFSK has entered into an exclusive agreement with WildAx Motorhomes to manufacture mini campers using the DFSK Loadhopper van as the base vehicle.
WildAx MD Duncan Wildman says, “We are proud to announce that after many discussions we have agreed with DFSK UK’s MD Lee Clarke to produce a range of mini campers using their panel vans. We have 3 models ready to launch starting with the DFSK Cutie which had some initial viewings earlier this year in a different format. DFSK have a range of base vehicles that are exactly what we have been looking for to produce a range of very high quality low priced campers.”
“Production of the prototypes is already underway and we plan to launch the first of the new range at the motorhome show at the NEC in October. The new DFSK range will be aimed at 2-4 berth campers to be used as car replacement vehicle but with a specification and quality of a much larger motorhome. Prices are expected to start for a brand new mini camper, on the road from only £19,995. We also are working with VCA and Millbrook Proving Ground to gain full European Type Approval for this new range of campers.”
This new model Cutie will include a cooking facility, fridge, 230v and 12v systems, porta potti, elevating roof, travelling seats for up to 4 people, optional roof bed for 2 people and a range of storage areas. The base vehicles all come with power steering and the option of air conditioning.
DFSK are delighted to be working alongside WildAx Motorhomes on this vehicle and we look forward to reinvigorating the mini-camper van scene with the new Cutie.
