What could possibly be better at this time of year than visiting a Christmas Market, going for a walk in the snow, and skiing, just to name a few. And why not let your caravan or motorhome take you there? Winter camping is becoming the trendy thing to do. There is no type of travelling that is more spontaneous, more flexible, less complicated and closer to wintertime nature than camping.

With the KNAUS and WEINSBERG CUVs (Caravanning Utility Vehicles) winter camping becomes an intense, unique experience. Thermal bridge-free insulation of the body, insulation of the window and rear doors, as well as the warm air circulation of the fresh water tank and frost-free positioning of the water pipes means the vehicle is absolutely winter-proof. Sleeping overnight in a cold winter wonderland is not a problem – in fact, quite the opposite is true: it is cosy and warm inside the CUV. The grooved floor structure nestles against the vehicle body floor. There are no cavities and as a result – with the best insulation – no condensation water occurs. Thanks to the well-conceived heating installation, both energy and warmth are optimally distributed. A temperature-controlled platform in the seating area guarantees warm feet at all times. Compact exterior dimensions and well-designed technical details, such as the positioning of the heavy components above the rear axle, enable perfect vehicle handling under all conditions. It doesn’t matter whether KNAUS BOXDRIVE, BOXSTAR, the new BOXLIFE or WEINSBERG CaraTour and CaraBus – the CUVs offer a high level of living comfort and, at the same time, maximum storage space for skis, sledges and other winter equipment.

By the way: in 2019, the WEINSBERG CUVs are celebrating their 50th anniversary. The first WEINSBERG Caravanning Utility Vehicle was launched back in 1969: it was a compact, very well-designed camper with pop-top roof constructed on the basis of the Fiat 238. It was perfect as either a transporter or a fully-equipped camper van.

Or would you rather travel with a caravan? That works in the wintertime too: for example, with the year-round caravan CaraOne 740 EDITION [ICE] made by WEINSBERG. This vehicle is also absolutely winter-proof and offers cosy warmth through XPS foam insulation and the ALDE hot water supply and floor heating system. And that is not all – it is also perfect for all winter sports enthusiasts: the stately tandem-axle model features a holder for skis and also a shoe compartment for your winter boots. Thanks to excellent rolling characteristics, the vehicle handles extremely well. The ICE is also available in the “lounge floorplan” – with a couch and “fireplace”, in front of which you can relax and comfortably watch TV.

So: Don’t forget the ice scraper and the snow shovel and then your winter holiday experience can begin!
