WEINSBERG adds Mercedes-Benz Sprinters to its range

New versions of the successful bestseller
Mercedes-Benz Sprinters deliver premium quality
Wider range of base vehicles in the future
Configurable and available to order now
EDITION [PEPPER] is the name of the most successful and best-selling special model series in the industry. It has been the favourite of cost and quality conscious buyers for many years. Reason enough for WEINSBERG to now strategically expand its existing portfolio: Two versions built on Mercedes-Benz Sprinters have now been added to the most popular models offered by the traditional brand WEINSBERG.
This offers advantages on a number of levels. Firstly, Mercedes-Benz as the manufacturer of the base vehicles assures WEINSBERG of a high delivery capacity and availability of its chassis, which means the motorhomes can be delivered more quickly. Secondly, the technological sophistication symbolised by Stuttgart’s iconic star elevates the company’s offerings in this class to a new level. With 110 kW (150 hp), even the basic engine gives a superior drive in all situations. WEINSBERG offers these vehicles in versions with 3.5 and 4.2 tonnes of permissible total weight. The vehicles also feature a comprehensive range of driving assistance and safety systems as standard, which can be added to on request.
For the launch, WEINSBERG offers two versions built on the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter models. Prices start at 72,990 euros. The CaraCompact 640 MEG MB EDITION [PEPPER] is a slim and agile semi-integrated vehicle with a spacious single-bed layout for up to three people, and the SUITE also has a lift bed, which means it can sleep up to five people. The seating area has an innovative feature that is both simple and very effective: WEINSBERG has positioned the bench at five degrees off the right angle – which does not sound like very much, but offers surprising benefits. This not only makes sitting down and getting up easier, the resulting visual axes also improve the overall sense of space.
WEINSBERG’s new strategy establishes a long-term cooperation with Mercedes-Benz with a variety of further possibilities in the future. What’s more, it builds on an established tradition, because the two brands have collaborated in the past: Knaus Tabbert had already staked out the terrain in the late 1970s with the WEINSBERG ORBIS and WEINSBERG ORBITER models, both of which were based on a Mercedes-Benz transporter. TABBERT also offered comfortable motorhomes based on Mercedes-Benz vehicles at that time. 2

Options/Packages
Further options are available on request in addition to the extensive [PEPPER] standard features, such as a bicycle rack for up to four bikes, the PREMIUM or EXCLUSIVE door (which come with window and coming-home feature), Seitz frame windows, ISOFIX, electric floor heating, the Velocate GPS tracker and a lithium-ion on-board battery.
The Light & Visibility package with Mercedes LED high-performance headlights, high-beam assistance and rain sensor always ensures good visibility. The WET WIPER SYSTEM sprays the cleaning liquid directly in front of the wiper blades and wipes it off immediately. This not only improves visibility for the driver while wiping, it also uses much less cleaning liquid, which is good for the environment, pedestrians and other road users.
The Hot [PEPPER] package includes important Mercedes safety features (electric parking brake, distance assistance, traffic sign assistance) and the MBUX multimedia system, which is redefining standards in the industry in terms of connectivity, infotainment, navigation and communication in the vehicle.
MBUX: Mercedes-Benz user experience: intelligent multimedia system
The intelligent and user-friendly MBUX infotainment system connects the vehicle with the digital world, and its innovative connectivity solution makes it one of the best vehicle multimedia systems.
It is operated via a user-friendly 10.25“ touchscreen or via the multifunction steering wheel. The latter also operates the on-board computer and vehicle functions using touch control buttons (small touch pads on the steering wheel) and other buttons, which means you never have to take your hands off the steering wheel. The height and angle of the multifunction steering wheel can be adjusted, as can the leather gear shift lever.
The MBUX also comes with a DAB+ radio, fast hard-disk navigation with high-quality topographical 3D map display and free map updates for three years, as well as an instrument cluster with 5.5″ colour display including reversing camera. The colour display is located between speedometer and tachometer. Easy-to-read displays and intuitive menu navigation are within the driver’s field of vision. Among other things, the display shows a trip calculator with eco consumption data, average fuel consumption, AdBlue fill level and selected vehicle data. You can also access radio, navigation system, media, phone, assistance systems, vehicle settings and service via the menu.
Your smartphone can be integrated into the MBUX system using Apple CarPlay, Android Auto or Mirrorlink. You can also easily access all the main smartphone apps via the screen in the vehicle, including third-party apps (such as Spotify).
The Bluetooth interface of the MBUX with hands-free function means you can safely make phone calls while driving without getting distracted.
Other Mercedes highlights in the [PEPPER]
There are four cupholders for drinking bottles and cups in the driver’s cab within easy reach of the driver and front passenger. Two practical storage compartments in the centre of the dashboard are also within easy reach. A wide, open storage compartment with a capacity of approx. 8.5 litres can be found on the passenger side below the dashboard, which can be used to store documents and other personal items. Two additional adjustable air vents in the cab offer extra comfort. 3
Other Mercedes highlights: Keyless start, electromechanical power steering, crosswind assistance, hill start assistance, eco start/stop function, adaptive electronic stability programme ESP (can support the driver by building up direction-stabilising braking forces in critical driving situations) and adaptive brake lights (can significantly reduce the reaction time of drivers of vehicles behind you with their eye-catching flashing and thus prevent rear-end collisions).
