The new Ford-based campervan from Wellhouse Leisure, the first UK conversion based on the new Ford Tourneo Custom, will be available from a nationwide network of five agents after its launch at the NEC Motorhome and Caravan show in October.
The five outlets are spread across the UK, from Scotland to Devon, with Berkshire, Yorkshire and Wales in between:
Most of these are already agents for the Wellhouse Leisure Hyundai i800 camper, and will sell both models.
Simon Bell, Sales Director of Hyundai Torbay explained: ‘It may seem strange that, as a Hyundai Main Dealer, we should stock Wellhouse’s new Ford Tourneo Custom campervan, but we have had such success with the Wellhouse Hyundai i800 Camper, that to us it makes perfect sense. The Ford is different in specification and size to the Hyundai, and we are delighted that Wellhouse had enough faith in us to offer us this important new model’
Wellhouse Leisure’s managing director, David Elliott said: ‘We are delighted to confirm our UK network of agents for our new Ford model, including our new agent, Roy Wood Transits in Berkshire. They are all campervan specialists with high standards of customer service.’
‘There has been a huge amount of interest in our new Ford Tourneo Custom campervan, and we’ve already taken two orders before we even have one to show anyone, so our agents are really looking forward to getting their first deliveries later in the year,’ he continued.
Steve Wood, managing director of Roy Wood Transits is extremely enthusiastic to be an agent for Wellhouse Leisure, saying: ‘With 35 years of Transit experience, I can’t wait until the NEC show and to the delivery of our own Tourneo demonstrator. I’m very confident that the combination of car-like style, quality and fantastic affordability will allow us to impress traditional Volkswagen customers and offer them something that wins their heart and their head!’
Steve Wood is also impressed with the stringent quality Wellhouse Leisure is investing in its new model saying: ‘There couldn’t be a more perfect match between us and Wellhouse Leisure. With many years experience as an independent Transit dealer, with foundations built around a strong engineering discipline, we recognized how seriously David Elliott was about his new Ford Tourneo Custom model. Not only is he, and his team, committed to the huge investment of full type approval, they are also well on their way towards NCC (National Caravan Council) certification.’
‘Customers are only just learning how important these rigorous tests, certification and approvals are and the long term benefits of safety they bring, plus the enhanced build quality which inevitably results. Ultimately, these means we can offer our customers a Wellhouse conversion with the same confidence we have in the base vehicle,’ he continued.
